Our Vision
Celta Academy Pennsylvania will emulate the best of the Spanish Methodology of Soccer for the boys and girls of the greater PA area. Long term vision is to be a multi-generational institution that embodies the Spanish Methodology and personal growth within the players of the Academy.
Our Mission
Develop Intelligent Players. Grow Exceptional People.
RC Celta Academy Pennsylvania fosters an environment which immerses players in the Spanish system of training and game play with a focus on player development in both the technical and tactical aspects of the game. This is accomplished by a coaching staff that is trained in the Spanish training methodology and a program that is derived and overseen by the Professional Team and Academy, RC Celta de Vigo, in Spain. RC Celta de Vigo is a Professional Club whose first team play in in La Liga Primera (division 1) with other pro teams, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Sevilla. that Plays We aim to develop players that excel to college, semi-pro and to those professional level teams.
Our core values
- Per Spanish soccer methodology, we focus on the technical and tactical aspects of the game. While the physical aspects are important, they do not out-weigh the technical and tactical aspects in the Spanish system of play.
- We take a long term view to teaching players how to play the game. It takes many years to learn to play this simple and beautiful game!
- We focus on the player’s needs and continually evaluate players’s individual needs to reach the next level.
- We keep winning and losing in perspective and balance development needs with team morale. Our teams train and play matches as part of a long term, multi-year development plan in which winning and losing are by-products of developing great soccer players.
- RC Celta Academy PA will act in a fiscally responsible and business-like manner in everything it does. Operating as a non-profit club, all proceeds are reinvested into the club for the betterment of the players.
- RC Celta Academy PA will be a loyal and responsive member of the worldwide academies of the RC Celta Foundation.
From first touch to competitive play

Pre-Travel Program
Our Pre-Travel Program introduces developing players to structured training in a fun, supportive environment. Sessions focus on ball mastery, coordination, confidence, and a love for the game while beginning to introduce the principles of the development model used by RC Celta de Vigo.
Players learn foundational technical skills and build habits that prepare them for the next stage of competitive play.

Competitive Travel
Our Competitive Travel Teams form the core of Celta Academy. Players train within the methodology of RC Celta de Vigo, emphasizing intelligent play, technical quality, and strong decision-making. Coaching is focused on development across our five core competencies: technical, tactical, physical, psychological, and social. The goal is not only to compete, but to develop thoughtful, complete players.

Individualized Coaching
Individual and small-group training sessions provide focused attention on specific areas of a player’s development. These sessions allow coaches to work closely with players to refine technique, improve decision-making, and accelerate progress.
Individual coaching complements team training and helps players continue developing within the standards and philosophy of RC Celta de Vigo.

The club works closely with its network of academies around the world to develop and identify players with the potential to pursue advanced training opportunities in Spain.
Each year, select players from partner academies may be invited to train and be evaluated within the club’s professional academy environment. Celta also continues to expand opportunities for international collaboration, including teams traveling to Spain and other locations to compete, learn, and share in the development experience.
