| Celta Juniors has the goal of developing the next generation of high level players in our area! It is targeted at players 5-6 years old (BY 2018-2019) that demonstrate a high level of soccer interest and competency for their age. Celta Juniors has a strong focus on early development of technical ability and learning the Celta system of play. The intent is for Celta Juniors to mature into full travel teams at the appropriate age. Celta Academy is inviting players to join girls, boys and coed teams in Celta Juniors. Here are some important details about Celta Juniors: 1. The program will be run by an experienced Celta coach with deep expertise in Spain’s methodology for this age group. 2. It will be a nurturing environment focused on learning, experimentation and creativity. Celta Juniors will hold a high bar for entry based on the player’s and parent’s interest in soccer and dedication to training. 3. Celta Juniors will train 2-3 times per week, starting 31-Mar and will run for 12 weeks. 4. Celta Juniors will play friendlies against local clubs and tournaments where possible (there are no EPYSA sanctioned leagues for this age group). 5. Celta Academy demonstrates its commitment to building for the future by removing the cost barrier; Celta Juniors will cost only $100 per season (Fall, Winter, Spring). 6. This program minimizes the bureaucracy typical of youth sports. Only proof of age is required to participate. Players of birth year 2018-2019 are invited to register to tryout for entry to Celta Juniors. Please share it with friends and family who might have a young player in this age range. |
